Marc Penrod, MD

Dr. Penrod is a Springville Red Devil having been raised in the Springville/Mapleton area. He grew up and enjoyed sports playing on the Red Devil basketball team and swimming for many years as a Springville Seal. He also enjoyed science classes throughout his schooling. After high school he went to BYU where he graduated with a double major in zoology and child development. He went to medical school at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia.   Following medical school he completed a family practice residency at Utah Valley Medical Center in Provo. Dr. Penrod was then fortunate to be able to return to his home to become a medical provider to the citizens of his hometown. Now, his community is divided into two high schools. But because his father is the principal of Maple Mountain High School, Dr. Penrod not only considers himself a Red Devil, but also an honorary Golden Eagle.

In 1995 he married his sweetheart, Heather Witney. Heather is also from Springville and an avid biker, runner, and tri-athlete as well as a personal trainer. Marc and Heather love to run and bike together. Because of his love for sports and exercise Dr. Penrod takes a personal interest in exercise and sports related injuries.

Heather and Marc are the proud parents of three children (Audrey, Haden, and Olivia) and reside next to Heather’s parents, MaryLyne and Doug Witney on a small farm in Springville where they raise 2 dogs, 2 cats, 2 horses, 2 sheep and a bunch of chickens and ducks.

Dr. Penrod’s training, love and care for his own children and family has prepared him well to relate and care for your family and especially your children.
