Matthew Walton, D.O.
"The essential is invisible to the eyes. We only see well with the heart." These lines from The Little Prince may seem out of place here in my bio page but they form an important foundation for how I approach my practice of medicine. I try to bring an open and clear mind and heart to every patient I meet as we work together to find a path to health.
I come from a Utah heritage and after living in many different places across the country I am proud to call Utah home. I did my undergraduate training at Brigham Young University and then went to the University of North Texas for medical school. I am trained as an osteopathic physician which gives me some unique tools in my black bag, especially in treating musculoskeletal problems. I completed my residency in family medicine at the Washington Hospital, outside of Pittsburgh, PA. I was honored to work as Chief Resident during my last year of training. I also spent two years of my residency working as an emergency department physician.
My wife and children are the highlights of my life. My greatest hobby is spending time with my family in whatever activities we choose to pursue. I love the work that I do. It is a great privilege to be able to take care of people at all stages of life. I look forward to getting to know you and seeing what we can accomplish together.
